Floating sticky notes for Mac
Notes that float above everything.
Hoverpad keeps your sticky notes on top of every app on your Mac — even fullscreen video calls — and keeps them off your screen share.
Free to start. Pro is a one‑time purchase.
Requires macOS 15 or later.
Open with the demo, not the slides.
Pricing: free to start, Pro once‑off.
Ask: intro to their design lead.
Pick a new colour from the fan. Drag notes anywhere by their top edge.
Collapsed notes stay out of the way. Click the arrow to open it again.
On top of fullscreen apps. Finally.
Most sticky notes vanish the moment you go fullscreen. Hoverpad notes stay put over Keynote, Xcode, Final Cut, a browser or a video call, on every desktop and Space. See how it works →
Share your screen. Not your notes.
Mark a note private and it disappears from screenshots, recordings and screen sharing in Zoom, Meet and Teams. You still see it. They don't. How hiding works →
Pin any part of your screen. Even live.
Press ⌃⌥S, drag over a chart, a design or a stream, and it floats as its own window. Turn on Live and it keeps updating — a dashboard you can watch while you work somewhere else. Pin a screen area →
Tidy in one keystroke.
Free, Stack or Grid. Switch with ⌃⌥1 2 3, and Free always puts every note back exactly where you left it.
Catch the thought. Keep working.
Press ⌃⌥A in any app, type, hit Return. It's a note — and you never left what you were doing. Markdown works, so - [ ] milk becomes a checklist.

How do I keep a note on top of other windows on my Mac?
Use a floating notes app such as Hoverpad. Its notes stay above every other window, including fullscreen apps, and appear on every desktop. Apple’s Stickies can float over normal windows but not over fullscreen apps.
Do Stickies work over fullscreen apps on a Mac?
No. Stickies’ Float on Top keeps notes above normal windows, but they disappear when an app goes fullscreen. Hoverpad notes stay on top of fullscreen apps. See the comparison with Stickies.
Can I hide my notes when I share my screen on Zoom, Meet or Teams?
Yes. Mark a note private, or hide all notes from screen sharing in the menu bar. They stay visible to you and are left out of the share. Test it with your app before an important call. How it works.
Does Hoverpad collect any of my data?
No. Your notes live on your Mac, and in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync. Hoverpad has no accounts, no analytics and no servers of its own. Read the privacy policy.
Will my notes really stay off a screen share?
Hidden notes use macOS’s own protection for private windows, so they’re left out of screenshots, recordings and screen sharing in apps like Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. We recommend a quick test with the app you use before an important call.
Why does Hoverpad ask for Screen Recording permission?
Only to pin parts of your screen. Hoverpad captures the area you choose, and nothing leaves your Mac. You can use every other feature without it.
Which Macs does it work on?
Any Mac running macOS 15 Sequoia or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a single purchase through the Mac App Store, and it’s shared with your family through Family Sharing.
I bought Pro. How do I get it on another Mac?
Open Hoverpad’s menu in the menu bar and choose Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
